VICTORY JUNCTION

Turning tragedy into triumph, the Petty family established Victory Junction Gang Camp in 2004 to honor the memory of Adam Petty, son of Kyle and Pattie Petty, who tragically lost his life in a Nationwide Series practice session. Victory Junction gives chronically ill children ages 6 to 16 the chance to experience a fun and empowering camping environment where physicians and volunteers properly attend to their medical needs. The camp is located in Randleman, North Carolina on 84 acres of land Richard and Lynda Petty donated. A second camp in Kansas City, Kansas is slated to open in 2011.

Since its foundation, Victory Junction has enriched the lives of more than 11,000 children and families and welcomed visitors from 47 states and three countries. Victory Junction serves 24 chronic medical conditions and serious illnesses including but not limited to autism, cancer, craniofacial anomalies, diabetes, hemophilia, sickle cell, and spina bifida, and 27 hospitals partner with Victory Junction to deliver exceptional health care for these and other needs. Although the cost of sending a child to camp is valued at $2,500, no child or family incurs this cost thanks to the continued support of generous donors.
