Phoenix, AZ - Here are the Richard Petty Motorsports results from the Checker O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 presented by Pennzoil at Phoenix International Raceway on November 15th, 2009:
Richard Petty Motorsports results:
- 13th - AJ Allmendinger— Ford. Drive One. Ford — now 25th in points.
- 15th - Kasey Kahne — Budweiser Dodge — now 10th in points
- 26th- Reed Sorenson — Paralyzed Veterans of America Dodge — now 28th in points.
- 28th - Elliott Sadler — Insignia Dodge – now 26th in points.
Notes:
- Jimmie Johnson won for the 47th time in 290 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts
- Jeff Burton, Denny Hamlin, Mark Martin and Martin Truex Jr. rounded out the top five.
- Johnson has seven wins and 23 top-10 finishes in 2009.
- This marks Johnson’s fourth victory and 11th top-10 in 13 races at PIR.
- Johnson leads the championship point standings by 108 over Mark Martin.
- Johnson needs to finish 25th or better at Homestead-Miami Speedway to clinch.
